A former classmate of mine emailed to let me know that our Kindergarten teacher was retiring, and did I want to send along a note of appreciation? You betcha, I did!
That’s me standing next to her in the micro-mini red dress (stylish, eh?)
I wish I had specific memories from her class other than loving the feel of paper maché glue squishing through my fingers. I loved Ms. Desmond so much, and was always happy to go to school, knowing that she was there waiting for me. I always felt precious and special when I was with her — I can’t think of a better introduction to school life than that.
So, to Ms Desmond, I say a heartfelt Thank You!
