M’s new job

It’s been a long time coming. Today we groomed the dogs. Really. The neighbor-boy kept commenting to his Mom about how long Nutmeg’s nails were. I was mortified. I clipped her nails, and Tomas brushed her till her coat was all shiny again. When M saw me make a move to brush Ginger, she begged (lot of that going on these days) to be allowed to do the brushing. I was all over it, ’cause Ginger is half-Chow and when she sheds, she really sheds. A lot.
So, in addition to feeding & watering the zoo (we also have a cat), M is now responsible for grooming the dogs. Yay! One less job for me. I think I can see the day coming when the kids’ll be walking the dogs, too, and taking out the garbage
